The second test between India and Sri Lanka kicks off today. As I type this, Sehwag has already hit three consecutive fours off Muralidharan. He is batting on 115 off 110, and Gambhir is on 89 off 120 odd. What more can I say.
Apart from this.
Do not go there. This is what I referring to:
India 325 (Ganguly 87, Laxman 50) and 64 for 2 beat South Africa 265 (Smith 69, Amla 51) and 121 (Harbhajan 4-44) by 8 wickets
The Kanpur pitch has a reputation for breaking down. South Africa will vouch for that.
Sril Lanka are no mug with the spinning ball either. They have loaded their side with Mendis, Murali and Herath. All India have is Harbhajan and WHOjha.
Meanwhile, Sehwag is out, and this time he has chosen one of the softer ways to do so - a simple catch to cover.
Having won the toss though, India have the advantage of putting the runs on the board before the pitch looks like:

Which is precisely what they are doing, with a great start by the openers. Gambhir is taking ages to get the 4 runs now required for his, so I won’t wait until that. Or maybe I will.

Ah! Finally, the 8th Hundred. Congrats
Play of the day so far: The toss. Well done, MSD.
