throughout the history of cricket, people have been wondering what the ‘best’ things are – the best batsman, the best bowler, the best captain, the best team, the best waterboy/pie-chucker, the best ravi shastri, and so on.
We thought, why not think about the worst, and give these guys some recognition as well.
So, first up, is a collection of some of the worst balls ever bowled:
1. Aussie PM John Howard
Oh, the guy who could not become ICC President, turns out could not bowl a ball as well. He was in Pakistan, trying to show why Australia is so good, anyone can turn up and bowl. This is what happened:
now some of you might not know, but this was the reason for the eventual Aussie downfall. They were so embarrassed, that they lost the will to win.
2. Abdul Razzak
I agree that it can be a little intimidating when you are bowling to the ‘larger-than-life’ Jesse Ryder, and more so when Ryder is sober, as he claims to be these days. But this shit is not pardonable. Take a look:

3. Ben Hilfenhaus
How can one forget this one, bowling so short that it…well, hit his boot.

Spinner, eh! What control. Also, one of the easiest fours in test cricket. Phil Tuffnell to McMillan:

The worst ball in history has to be Phil Tuffnell’s! He’s a spinner for crying out loud!! I could watch it over and over!!

My vote goes to Howard…not only coz he pulls of a hatrick…but coz I still can’t figure out where his 2nd delivery has disappeared!!!
As for that Boswell over…I’m thinking:
a) If only I’d seen this shit in 2001, I’d have moved to England to try out for Lester! I was better than THAT!
b) Maybe we (the viewing public) are the jackasses while Boswell’s the GENIUS! The guy was making millions through spot-fixing and no one caught on!
