Anticipation of a thriller

As the third ODI in the Idea Series between Sri Lanka and India approaches, there is a sense of Anticipation in the air. Specially from the Indian fans. Even though the Indians won the 2nd ODI, the win was far from convincing, as seen by India’s batting. With Indians doing way better than expected in other sports at the Olympics, the pressure is on the stars to perform. Zaheer Khan and Praveen Kumar, though, have really done their job well.

From the Sri Lanka side, they know they are susceptible to a collapse every now and then, and shouldn’t read too much into Wednesday’s result. The Indians still can’t figure out the carrom ball from Mendis. This fact should add to the confidence the Lankans are enjoying. Even I am hoping for a close match on Sunday 24th August at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. See you after the match.
