To Asif. Or not to Asif.

Mohammad Asif took three wickets on his comeback from dope. He celebrated his comeback by not smoking up. The times, they are a changing.

We are talking about the first test between New Zealand and Pakistan at Dunedin, an ancient village full of sand dunes back in the day. No?

Pakistan have bowled well, but it doesn’t seem to be enough as New Zealand are 402/8 as I type this.

In related news, Daniel Vettori just got out on the brink of another test century (on 99). He has now without doubt become the greatest Daniel Vettori to ever play for New Zealand. I can imagine him visualising this day when he was just 19.

Umar Gul, Mohammed Aamer, Mohammed Asif. Call that a pace trio. I call that pure quality. And 402/8? I call that defiance of pure quality.

Have no idea where this match is heading. With Pakistan in action, it is a crime to predict.

So I would stick to the reporting, but you should not. Who will win this game? Let everyone know. Comment below. Show me that you were here. For heck’s sake, just write “I was here”.
