Something different about the Aussie players

by Ankit on September 13, 2010

in Australia

I was looking at some of the comments left by visitors to this blog and chanced upon this one. Seems like more than a few Aussie players (present and past) are of unique origins. By unique I mean non-South-African of course.

Moises Henriques is of Portuguese descent.
Theo Doropoulos is of Greek descent.
Michael Kasprowicz was Russian Polish (thanks for the correction Faran)
Andrew Symonds parents hailed from Jamaica.
Jason Krezja’s family had roots in Czech Republic.
Dirk Nannes is Dutch

anything else? Keep adding in the comments section.

Wasn’t Symonds born in England as well, Birmingham I think.

He couldn’t sound any more different to a Brummy!
