Yes, a 7 match series is too long to be played in the Indian Sub Continent for the Indian bloggers! But then, we won’t tire until you do!

India play Australia today at Hyderabad, and would be looking to go 3-2 up on the almost second string Australian team! However, it is an ode to Australian grooming system, that even at such times, the victory of the 2nd best ODI team can not be assured! Or it is an ode to India’s ability to lose for winning positions! Take your pick!

Zaheer Khan has not been recalled for the 3 matches that remain, which means he will be restricted to creating havoc in Ranji Trophy. Gautam Gambhir may be back for the 5th ODI, which means we don’t have to look at an embarrassing Virat Kohli trying to play something that resembles International Cricket!

Henriques has joined the injury list and with the current trend, Ricky Ponting may remain the only bowler left for the last match to be played in Mumbai!

India go in as favorites in the 5th ODI, and should win to gain some momentum after the loss at Mohali! There is a clincher though. If Australia were to win this one, it not only would be a huge embarrassment to Indian cricket, it will also be a great boost their chances of winning the series and inspiring new found confidence in their regrouping team!
