There is hope for that elusive double ton

Some of you might already know this but Jacques Kallis is set to get married after porposing to long-time girlfriend  Shamone Jardim. I know girls, terrible news, suck it up there’s a whole Cute XI cricket team on the pitch.

That’s cool. Happy for you dude.

The biggest positive we can take from this propsal is that it proves Jacques Kallis will indeed score that elusive 200 in Tests one day. It might take years and it might happen on the day that he retires but from this proposal we have learnt that patience is indeed key.

This is echoed by the fact that the collaborative waist expansion from the South African cricket team also took a lot of patience and perseverance.

We have to keep hoping that Kallis will score 200 in his career.

In other news, it looks like Kevin Pietersen has to find a new county. He has hinted at a move closer to his London home which means he might go knocking on the door of Middlesex or even Surrey.

That makes me sad. As a Saffa, we have to keep an eye on the county cricket scene to see if there are any expats worthy of a call-up to the national side and to stay interested, you generally select a team at random. I chose Middlesex because when I first supported Essex I got teased about being an ‘Essex girl’. Once I Googled the joke, I changed to Middlesex because they play at Lord’s and their name has the word sex in it and the big IOB plays for them. But if Kevin’s move to the county materialises, I’ll be out of a county too.

Gosh.

Evidently, he made a joke! Mark B tweeted later on that it was all some august ‘april’s fool’ prank. This is the second time Jacques Kallis has made a joke about getting married. The first time, he played the joke on his girlfriend!

What a guy!

I too support Middlesex and I too have to move on now it seems.
Die KP die! (I mean that in English not Afrikaan)

Eurgh. Yeah, what a joke hey….I am in absolute stitches. Seriously, this is why people in SA don’t think I’m funny….my humour just isn’t that retarded.

Let’s support Surrey together?
