I have so much to write about this game. I am so depressed right now, more depressed that the amount Rahul Dravid used to be when he was captain. Even more depressed than George W Bush on 9/11.
It would be fair to say that India lost the match in the last 5 overs. There is one, and only one person who can be held accountable. the person is Ashish Nehra.
No, I am kidding. There are lots of people responsible. Here is a list. I would come to each of them in a moment.
Mind you, I am just talking about the last 5 overs. Lord knows how many more fucktards caused the entire defeat. But they are for a later day. The major culprits are:
- Sunil Gavaskar
- Laxman Sivaramakrishnan
- Harbhajan Singh
- Yuvraj Singh
- Parera
- Zaheer Khan
- Ashish Nehra

Sunil Gavaskar and L Sivaramakrishnan
with 7 overs to go and India having applied the shackles with the spinners, SL needed around 55 runs to win.
In walked Sunil Gavaskar (who sometimes sounds like Peter Griffin of Family Guy, but only when he is really excited) and Laxman Sivaramakrishnan. If commentators’ curse is a pandemic, these two are the pioneers. Apart from Geoffrey Boycott of course.
The Indian bowlers kept dishing out crap and the two of them kept…well…dishing out crap as well.
It was really irritating. It really grinds my gears when Sivaramakrishnan gets paid for commentating. Try me!
Harbhajan Singh
Parera hit a boundary, but that’s not the problem here. Harbhajan was fielding in the circle, and he dived to try to save the ball. He would anyways never have reached.
The miffing factor was when he got up from his dive-for-the-cameras, disappointed and dejected, not for missing the ball, neither for the cameras. But for a stupid looking watch he had just broken because the dive. Damn the dive.
Pissed me off more than when he went for 78 off 10 some other day.
Yuvraj Singh
He dived on the boundary, and his pants came off. Sort of depicting the situation India found themselves in at that precise moment.
