The Fallen Hero: Mohammed Amir [pics]

The saddest and most heart-breaking part of this whole tragedy, for me, is the fact that this beautiful, bright and talented young boy could have no future anymore, should he be found guilty. Some sources believe that Shahid Afridi was protecting him and, as soon as he left, he had nobody to turn to and he was bullied into the alleged spot-fixing.

I look at the pictures below and my heart breaks, every single time, into 10 000 pieces. Did he really have his poor, innocent soul tainted by greed? Or did he just lack a leader and somebody who was willing to listen? If it’s the latter, then just how rotten is Pakistan cricket and how sad is this tale?

Celebrating…and then…

The fallen hero? England players look on as if to say, ‘good riddance’ as he is dismissed on the fourth day of that Test.

How can boy that looks so pure end up so completely wayward?
